Kia Seltos – Power in Motion

Challenge
The commercial aimed to highlight the power and comfort of the new Kia Seltos, but the client faced a challenge: the final car model wasn’t available in time for the shoot. The production team only had access to an older version, which didn’t match the design Kia wanted to promote.
Solution
Our VFX team stepped in to bridge the gap. We:
- Replaced and remodeled key parts of the car in postproduction to create the accurate, brand-new model.
- Built a precise 3D replica of the Seltos, which allowed us to extend the scenes far beyond what was shot on set.
The director’s vision was bold — a cinematic sequence of dozens of Kia Seltos cars moving like a powerful herd through the streets of Mexico City. To achieve this, we cloned and animated multiple 3D cars, integrating them seamlessly behind the hero vehicle captured on set.
The car was captured on a black stage, serving as a blank canvas. Our team then designed and crafted a fully digital environment in CGI, surrounding the vehicle with a world that matched the director’s vision:

- Large-scale crowd simulation of vehicles, designed to feel natural and dynamic in an urban environment.
- Attention to cinematic storytelling, making the cars move with both precision and energy, embodying the qualities of the Seltos.

Outcome
The final commercial delivered a spectacular and powerful vision of the Kia Seltos, perfectly in line with the client’s brief. By combining on-set material with advanced VFX and 3D replication, we turned logistical limitations into a visually striking campaign that showcased the car’s strength and comfort.
