Challenge
The Toyota 4Runner campaign came with a nearly impossible brief: create a beautiful, atmospheric car commercial set in nature — complete with three animal species (howler monkeys, white-tailed deer, and the Mexican golden eagle) — all under extreme time pressure and with minimal preproduction. Just a year earlier, this would have been unattainable.
Solution
Our approach was to combine the best of traditional VFX with cutting-edge AI tools. This hybrid pipeline became the key to achieving the director’s ambitious vision:


Execution
- Created three dynamic sequences:
- Balanced cinematic atmosphere with a naturalistic look, ensuring the animals felt alive and truly connected to the environment.
- Designed the progression shot-by-shot, with the number of animals growing steadily until the final, majestic crescendo



Outcome
Across both seasons, the campaign delivered fresh, visually stunning content that stood out on social media. It highlighted Checo Pérez not just as a racing hero, but as a cultural chameleon moving through worlds shaped by art, tradition, and speed.
For Skymaker, this was a milestone project: the first time we leaned so heavily on AI, proving it could be more than just a tool — it could be a driver of true creative innovation.
